Leave Rules

  1.  Students absent from school due to any reason must ensure that a leave application written and signed by a parent/guardian is submitted in advance. In case of emergency, the leave application must be brought on the day the student resumes classes.
  2. Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absence for more that six consecutive days renders a student liable to have his/her name struck off the rolls. Once the name is struck off the rolls, readmission may be granted only on the payment of readmission fee, provided the vacancy still exists.
  3. All children are expected to attend school on the re-opening day after every vacation. Those absent due to sickness must present a medical certificate before they join the class.
  4. Every student must have at least 90% attendance to appear in any of the terminal examinations. Those who fail to fulfill this criterion will be debarred from that terminal examination and marked zero for the same in the report card. Request from the defaulters in this regard will not be entertained. 90% attendance criterion is applicable to each of the two examinations separately. Benefit of having more attendance for a particular terminal examination will not be transferred to the other examination. However, prize for 100% attendance will be given on the basis of the total attendance in an academic year.
  5. In case a child remains absent for three consecutive days without prior permission after a long vacation or in the beginning of the session, his/her name will be struck off the school rolls. Readmission will be purely at the discretion of the principal and that too, with full admission fee.
  6. All students are expected to join the school on the notified date at the beginning of the school term. Students will not be allowed to leave before the end of the term that officially ends after the assembly on the last day. Parents and guardians will appreciate that absence during a term is not in the best interest of the students. They are asked not to apply for leave, if it can be avoided. Leave may be granted at the discretion of the Principal.
